Camp Stool
Also known as a campaign stool, Tijuana stool, or painter's stool, this folding stool is lightweight yet extremely durable, equally at home in a living room, around the campfire, during seated massage sessions, or in front of a painting.
Three full-grain tapered legs support a seat of supple, imported Italian leather, known as “Buttero” from the renowned family-run tannery Conceria Walpier in Tuscany. The leather will become more supple and pliant with use.
All of the domestic hardwoods are locally sourced, often from arborists. The wood finish is free from petroleum products, consisting solely of shellac and wax paste.
The rivets are available in either brass or copper. The stool folds up, making it very easy to fit into a bag and transport. It is surprisingly light and has been described as "astonishingly comfortable". Your entire weight is supported by the leather, so it encourages a natural and upright posture. Practitioners of the Alexander Technique, meditation, and zazen will also find excellent use for this stool, which will support up to 325 pounds.
